ABOUT GEORGIA SENATE DISTRICT 53

Georgia Senate District 53 represents some of the most hardworking and close-knit communities in Northwest Georgia. From small towns and rural farmland to growing local industries, District 53 is built on strong families, deep roots, and a commitment to community.

Lanny Thomas has lived in District 53 his entire life and is proud to call this region home. He understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities facing our district because he has lived it.

COUNTIES & COMMUNITIES SERVED

Georgia Senate District 53 includes all or parts of the following counties:

  • Chattooga County

  • Walker County

  • Dade County

  • Catoosa County

  • North Floyd County

These communities share common values — hard work, faith, family, and a belief that local voices should matter in state government.
